TAMLO’s content and digital marketing campaign for HIS Europe

The Client

HIS Europe is a group company of HIS, one of the world’s largest travel businesses with 270 offices in Japan, and 265 offices in 157 cities around the globe. Their businesses in Europe include retail, e-commerce, travel booking, luxury rentals, and more.

The Challenges

As a Japanese company venturing into the European market, HIS Europe's primary challenges revolved around localisation and brand recognition. To help grow their brand in Europe, HIS enrolled TAMLO to help with their content marketing strategy and execution.

The Solution

Due to the intricate nature of the project, we summarised our efforts for HIS Europe into eight distinct segments.

  1. Workshop

Together with HIS, we talked about campaign goals, brand positioning, competitive analysis, and other subjects of interest.

2. Digital Marketing Plan

Based on what we discussed during the workshop and our own research, we developed digital marketing plans to help HIS achieve their campaign goals.

3. Social Media Strategy

We developed social media strategy for HIS Japan Premium, a Japanese supermarket with locations in several European cities.

4. Editing and Copywriting

We localised blog posts and copy for the HIS Japan Premium e-commerce website.

5. Video Planning

For HIS Japan Premium, we also planned and directed videos for both paid and organic acquisition.

6. Website UI/UX

We consulted with UI/UX design firms to reformat and modernise their European websites.

7. Digital Advertising

We were also responsible for running, reviewing, and fine-tuning social media and Google ads on behalf of HIS Europe.

8. Reporting

We measured the effectiveness of the digital advertising campaign, reviewed it, and executed improved strategies in the next iterations.

The Result

Between April 2022 and May 2023, with our help, HIS Europe experienced substantial growth in followers across three accounts, each targeting users in different countries.

In a separate Instagram video ad campaign that ran from August 1st to December 31st, 2022, we successfully surpassed HIS Europe's campaign KPI, achieving the following results.
