SEO content is only as good as what you create

There are several steps involved in creating SEO content in Japanese. The first is to identify content themes and set goals. Then, you must select the target keywords. After that, you can move on to production. However, this is not the end of the process. There is still an important step after the article has been published: revision.

What is SEO content revision?

Whether the content is in Japanese or English, there is no SEO strategy that doesn't involve revision. So, why is revision necessary for SEO?

First, SEO content refers to content that appears at the top of the search results and is created to solve the "I don't know" or "I'm having trouble" problems of readers. In other words, content that does not get any recognition from Google (or the user) when searched for is not SEO content. The best tools to check this are Google Analytics and Search Console. These tools can help you see if the SEO content you have created is getting the right amount of traffic for the keywords you are targeting, and how well it is ranking. In short, this involves data analysis.

If it ranks as high as you hoped for, and the search queries (keywords that users type into Google) are the same as expected, then the SEO for that content is a success. However, in most cases, it is rare to get such a situation from the get-go. 

This is where revision comes in. Carefully examine the data, and you will surely find clues indicating why you are not ranking high. Use them to make minor tweaks to your content. This is the process of revision. 

Check SEO content on a monthly or seasonal basis

You'll want to check your SEO content monthly once it has been published. Since Google frequently updates its search algorithm, it’s always best to use Google Analytics and Search Console.

There are other advantages to checking monthly. In Japan, chocolate-related searches increase in winter, tax return-related searches increase at the beginning of the year, and real estate-related searches increase in February. You will want to stay on top of these types of trends to increase your success rate. Think about when is the best time for your product to make a big move in the Japanese market. 

It's a good rule of thumb to prepare your content revisions in advance. SEO content is a great asset to your website as the information is fresh and long-lasting. To make the most of it, always check the performance of your content and revise it regularly.
