Convatec Japan: Digital Ad Campaign Planning and Management

Convatec is a market leader in the MedTech industry that focuses on advanced wound care, ostomy care, continence & critical care, and infusion care. The company offers products that provide a variety of clinical and economic benefits including infection prevention, protection of at-risk skin, improved patient outcomes and reduced total cost of care.

The Challenge

Convatec’s goal for this campaign was to promote its global membership platform and increase the number of registrations in Japan. As a UK-based company with marketing teams across the globe, their challenge was to find a local agency with expert knowledge of Japanese digital campaigns, plus cross-cultural communication skills for their team meetings and monthly reports.

TAMLO worked with the global team to localise its campaign for the Japanese market without compromising key global corporate branding and messaging.

The Solution

Convatec already had a defined target audience. Hence, our job was to select the most effective media channels and develop a clear digital strategy.

We created localised assets and carried out monthly AB testing. Our digital advertising team optimised the ad settings and ad creatives. We drove traffic to the website with brand awareness campaigns and retargeted website visitors with conversion campaigns.

The Result

After running the ads for three months, we were able to exceed our three main KPI by a huge margin.

Furthermore, the teams at TAMLO and Convatec got together to optimise the landing page and marketing strategy over one month. After doing so, the ads performed significantly better in the following month compared to the initial three.
